RuthVision is an AI assistant focused on visual accessibility. Point the camera and receive clear spoken descriptions of what is in front of you, printed text reading, object identification, indoor navigation help, detailed scene descriptions and even product price lookup.
How it works. You use a key from an AI provider of your choice, such as Google Gemini, OpenAI or Qwen. The Settings screen has "Get API key" shortcut buttons for each provider that open the official page where you can generate the key for free in minutes. Then just paste the key into the matching field and save. From then on, answers come through voice with full screen reader support.
Available modes. Descriptive mode, text mode, object mode, navigation mode, price lookup mode and observer mode, all triggered by voice or touch.
Accessibility. Interface compatible with TalkBack, labels without duplication, high contrast and flows optimized for non-visual use.
Privacy. Your AI key is stored encrypted only on your device. Images go directly to the AI provider you chose, never to intermediate servers.
Subscription. The app offers a free seven-day trial of all features, then a subscription plan for continued use.
