About this app

Sādhak is a quiet, intentional tracker for your daily spiritual practice — chanting, recitation, meditation, and reading. Built for the steady rhythm of sadhana, not the noise of habit-tracking apps.

Open the app each morning and you see today's practice list: a tap-counter for each thing you've committed to, a sense of where you stand for the day, and a gentle nudge if something's been slipping. No streaks shoved in your face, no points or badges. Just a clean record of the work.

What you can track
• Stotras and pothis — recite a count, log it, see your total for the day, week, and year.
• Books — log pages or sittings as you read.
• Jaap — track your daily japa count by mantra.
• Pranayam and meditation — log minutes or sittings.
• From the library or your own — pick a stotra or book from the in-app library (with covers and language tags), or add your own.

Each practice has its own daily or weekly target, and the app remembers your history if you change a target so your past streaks stay honest.

• Backlog — when you miss your daily target, the shortfall is carried as a backlog you can pay down on better days. Optional per practice (off by default for books). Extra counts on a strong day go toward your backlog so the past doesn't stay broken.

Streaks and stats that respect your path
• A running current streak and your personal best.
• Year-to-date totals per practice so you can see your contribution at a glance.
• A calendar view showing the days you logged, the days you skipped, and why.
• If you mark a day skipped (with an optional reason), it's a deliberate pause — not a broken streak. Skip with exempt if the day shouldn't count at all (travel, illness, retreat) — your backlog stays clean — or defer if you intend to make it up later.

Works offline
Sādhak is designed so a poor connection or no connection at all doesn't get in the way of your practice:
• Tap your counters all day on a flight or in a temple — they queue up and sync the next time you have signal.
• The home and stats screens render instantly from a local cache, even on a cold start with no internet.
• A small banner at the top tells you when changes are pending sync, and clears once they land.

Designed to stay out of the way
• No ads. Ever.
• No analytics SDKs. We don't collect tracking data, advertising IDs, or location.
• No notifications in v1.0 (planned for a future version, opt-in only).
• Account deletion is one tap in Settings, with a clean confirmation flow.
• A short, plain-language privacy policy at sadhakapp.com/privacy.

Who Sādhak is for
Sādhak is built for individual sadhaks and small spiritual communities. It assumes you already have a daily practice and want a quiet, reliable way to track it.
