The Safer app combats gender-based and sexual violence (GBV) in festive settings, thanks to an awareness platform for staff and attendees, as well as a reporting tool available at partner events.
Usable year-round, the app provides access to awareness content and lists events implementing the system. It allows users to prepare for attending an event, use event-specific features, and provide feedback afterward.
Reporting operates at three levels, as a victim or witness of GBV, and in various connectivity contexts (from full network to offline): internet, mobile network, and Bluetooth network. Effective alert transmission requires the use of geolocation, Bluetooth, and notifications.
The app can be used by creating an account or in guest mode (requiring only a username and a phone number to ensure contact). This information (guest mode) is automatically deleted after 30 days.
The tool offers interaction with an AI assistant to obtain information about how the application works, the partner events program, and the topic of VSS (Very Small Spaces), including a list of specialized organizations.
