Sakura Fall is a calm, one-thumb arcade game with a quiet Japanese ink-and-petal look. A pink blossom rests at the centre of a tower of brushed ink rings. Drag anywhere to turn the whole tower, line an opening up under the blossom, and it drifts straight through to the ring below. Keep finding openings to drift all the way down -- but never let the blossom settle on a vermilion seal, or it wilts. Ten gardens, each turning faster with more seals to avoid.
ONE THUMB, THAT'S IT
Drag anywhere to turn the rings. The blossom stays still and drifts on its own -- you turn the world beneath it. No buttons, no stick. You can finish a garden one-handed on a quiet commute.
ALIGN THE OPENING
Every ring has an opening. Turn an opening under the drifting blossom and it falls through to the next ring down. Line a few openings together and the blossom drifts through several rings at once.
AVOID THE SEAL
The vermilion seal sectors are forbidden. If the blossom settles on one, it wilts and you lose a petal. Read the rings, turn the seal away, and bring a clean opening to the front in time.
CHAIN A COMBO
Drift through two or more rings in a single fall and it counts as a combo -- the score gathers quickly on a clean descent. Patient, deep drifts earn the most.
MIND YOUR PETALS
Touch a seal and you lose a petal (shown at the top). A few are fine, but lose them all and the blossom wilts -- one tap to begin the garden again.
TEN GARDENS
Garden 01 is a gentle opening with a single seal. Garden 10 turns fast with many. Ring count, turn tempo, openings and seals are hand-tuned for every garden, so each feels fresh. Bring a garden into bloom to unlock the next; the game remembers your bloomed gardens and best scores.
THE RECORDS
A quiet stats screen tracks your visits, rings drifted, combos, gardens in bloom, and a best score for each garden. Beat your own records -- the log keeps them all.
HOW TO PLAY, BUILT IN
A clean six-step guide sits one tap from the title screen. Hand the phone to anyone and they will be drifting in ten seconds.
SHORT, CALM SESSIONS
A garden takes a minute or two. Pause any time; resume, restart, or quit from the same panel. A soft rice-paper palette and drifting petals make it a calm little game for any spare moment.
