About this app

The RT310i has some great features.
• Receive Geo-Location alerts when you are a set distance from your home, reminding you to set holiday mode or asking if you would like to turn your heating on so that you return to a warm home.
• Suitable for Heating or Cooling applications.
• Manual mode, allows you to use the thermostat without schedules by just setting the temperature you require.
• Easy to follow walk through tutorial on how to use the app.

Ratings and reviews

For some reason in scheduled mode it does not switch the heating on in the morning, the flame icon blinks on the thermostat ( the temps is also well below the target) but that's it, eventually it will come on but much later than the programed time. No issues in manual mode, but in essence that's only 1 set-point. P.s. Seems to be fixed with the option to turn off the 'optimised start' in settings.

Rarely connects to my device or vice versa. I can't control the hearing from the app I have to use the thermostat control. No point having this, may as well revert back to the boiler timer. Useless app. However, it did work when first installed a couple of years ago. Only reliable for the first 2 months then it would lose connection and I'd need to reboot the whole unit, multiple times.. That still happens but the app is my biggest bugbear. I would not recommend this, get the real thing, Hive.

If your plumber has suggested a heating controller that requires this app DON'T! Unfortunately I couldn't give it less than one star. Useless. The app has just turned the heating off while the house is still cold for no apparent reason. Also, it would be good to be able to override the schedule for e.g. an hour and then it go back to the programme. From the lack of response to my original review I guess either the developers are overwhelmed with poor reviews or they don't care.
