SanDisk Please Read 🚩 Pros: Easy to use, encryption, and one click backup. Cons: Conflicts with the built in backup on my Samsung S24+ (smart things, my files) where it will tell you every time you plug it in that you need to restart your phone. Also does not automatically backup tar and zip files like those used for Google Takeout. You have to manually copy them to the drive. Too many extra steps.

If you have the old Memory Zone, keep it. After putzing with the new one for 10 minutes, I still couldn't find a way to move a file (if it's even possible). I did find plenty of opportunities to buy Adobe products. Basically, the old version works (and works well), so sandisk's 'end of support' won't matter. The only thing wrong with it was that it wasn't making them money

Twice the size of the previous version No option to 'move' files. I didn't use the earlier version to backup files, I used it to clear space on my phone by moving the files. I found it very slow. A 2 minute transfer of files took more than 20 minutes. In short, it doesn't do what I need. The old version did. I will have to look for a different alternative.
