SansPost Capture turns a phone into the bridge between a working photographer's camera and a live client gallery. Frames leave the camera as they are shot, upload in the background, and appear in a branded web gallery within seconds — while the event is still happening.
Built for event and sports photography teams who need photos in front of clients the same day, not the following week.
How it works
Start a shoot in the app. The phone runs a local receiver that your camera connects to over Wi-Fi. Each frame you send from the camera arrives on the phone, is queued, and uploads to your gallery automatically. A persistent notification shows live received and uploaded counts, so you can confirm the session is working without unlocking the phone.
Three ways to get photos in:
- Camera Wi-Fi transfer. Point a compatible camera at the phone's hotspot and send frames as you shoot. Setup guides for Nikon, Canon, and Sony are built into the app.
- USB tether. Connect the camera directly with a cable.
- Photo import. Pick images from the phone's own photo library using the Android photo picker.
Designed for the field
Multi-hour sessions. The upload service keeps running with the screen off and the app in the background, for the length of a full event.
Nothing is lost on a bad connection. Photos are queued on the device and retried until they land. Walking out of coverage delays a frame; it does not drop it.
Live session status. Received, queued, and uploaded counts, storage headroom, and connection state are visible at a glance.
Storage aware. If the phone approaches full, the app stops accepting new frames rather than failing silently mid-event.
Privacy
Location data is removed from every JPEG on the device, before the photo is uploaded. The app requests no location permission and has no advertising identifier, no analytics SDK, and no third-party SDKs. It communicates with one server: the one your organization configures.
Photo import uses the Android system photo picker, so the app receives only the images you explicitly choose. It never requests access to your photo library.
What you need
SansPost Capture is a companion app for the SansPost platform and requires an activation code issued by your organization. It cannot be used on its own.
A camera is not required to try the app — photos can be imported from the phone's library instead.
