Cool idea. Starts up quickly because I can just select a subfolder of my vault where I have tasks. I tried using it and items don't stay in the day view. Not sure what causes them to get kicked out. If I close the app it doesn't so maybe it is when I edit the document that it breaks it. Also doesn't keep the global filter after set.

Edit 2: Was so happy to purchase a lifetime license. The dev behind the app is actively improving it, and it's simply the best iteration of this kind of app on the market. if you need a better way to connect with your to-do's in obsidian, there is simply not a better, more reliable way than VaultMate. Download the app, get premium, and I can guarantee you'll be incredibly satisfied. If you're not, email the dev and come back in a week or two. They're that crazy responsive. A Must Have App.

Just what was needed, thank you Vankir! Obsidian initially had tasks on their roadmap, then it disappeared. I eventually realized why, some foundational features were needed before tasks in core plugins. An app like this and Tasks Community plugin solves that problem meantime. Not blaming Obsidian for not building these but definitely crediting Vankir for building this app, for sharing it with all of us, and maintaining this beauty! And he gave us a lifetime offer - perfect :)
