Half educational tool, half relaxing fidget.
Numbers are made of pretty shapes and patterns. This machine turns those patterns into a fun toy rather than a quiz. Relax and explore to unlock the mysterious beauty behind the world's most mysterious abstractions.
Pick a prime, and every multiple of it lights up. Pick another, and the colors start mixing — 6 turns yellow because 6 is 2 x 3, and 30 goes pale and strange because it is 2 x 3 x 5 all at once, and the primes sit there plain and alone because they are made of nothing but themselves.
Then spin it. Drag it. The numbers are on springs. Five palettes, ten backgrounds, and spirals grown from the golden angle — the same one sunflowers use.
There is no timer, no score, and no wrong answer. But after ten minutes of playing you might have accidentally learned what a prime is, what factorization means, and why some numbers are far more interesting than others — because you got to explore in your own way at your own pace, not because someone told you.
101 THINGS TO FIND
Hidden achievements, each with a clue that gives you something to hunt for. Some you will trip over by accident. Some will take a while. Unlocking them leads to special golden trophy visualizations in the app — you'll see!
FOR ANYONE WHO WAS EVER SCARED OF MATH
It turned out the numbers were never the problem — being wrong in front of people was. The numbers are impartial. They are abstract toys. Poke them, prod them, see what they do!
NO STRINGS
No accounts, no tracking, no analytics, no advertising, and no network requests of any kind. It works entirely offline, and nothing you do here ever leaves your phone.
A couple of optional in-app purchases are there for anyone who likes the Pretty Number Machine enough to want to support its development. No functionality is locked behind them — but everyone who chips in gets a treat.
Trippy and fun educational visuals make the structure behind numbers interactive
