Pay to play. So many events are locked because you don't have certain characters. And the only way to get them is to buy them or wait until the event is nearly over. It even locks out entire things of content. You can't progress in the story if you aren't high enough level and some of the challenges are timed ones that you need premium characters for. Really crummy system. The game is really fun besides that.

wpdated 2/15/26 buyer beware. subscriptions rule this game. they go so far to require a subscription for some of the stuff you purchase to work. to truly conpete you will be expected to spend in excess of $99.99 a week.update8.5.25; very buggy after last update. getting very pricy. challenging and fun. it's less about swiping and more about strategy. I think it's really cool they follow wrestling and adapt to real world scenarios

Its a fun and simple strategy match game. But the mechanics are setup so you have to spend real money to level up and access all of the basic content. Game modes are repetitive and do not offer much variation. The whole design seems sterile and really made for higher level players and factions. Getting to those levels seems a bit boring to me.
