Ratings and reviews

Certainly a JRPG grindfest, but that's only for the side content. If you're grinding the extra stuff, you can basically run right through the main campaign. Lots of dialog, but welcome to Persona! It's good content and good story, so I'm confused why the rating is so low?!?!?! If you like Persona and can't commit to consoles, like many working RPGers, then I think it's pretty phenomenal.

I'm having a lot of fun with it! The plot rings very true to the Persona theme, the gameplay is similar to the original games! I like that there is always stuff to do after you finish the plot, since there are other trials and exploring the metaverse. I like that they integrated phone mini games as well!

The gameplay isn't bad, but it's clear that they've decided to focus on finding more ways to get people to spend rather than creating an enjoyable experience. Especially when we have previous versions to compare to, the global version is way stingier, consistently giving less rewards and increasing prices. Unless SEGA puts out a statement to at least commit to reward parity with the Chinese server, I can't recommend playing this game. At the very least, definitely don't spend on it.
