• Spotlight — Reveals one correct digit and its exact position (high cost)
• Probe — You choose a digit; system confirms if it's in the code (medium cost)
• Strike — Eliminates 2 wrong digits instantly (low cost)

Hints cost extra time in timed modes — balance speed with information.
