ServiceM8 Lite is a simple, fast & easy-to-use Android app specifically designed for field staff, subcontractors & temporary workers who just need the basics, and don’t have a management or billing role in the business. ServiceM8 Lite for Android gives these workers the essentials to know when & where to be, view key job details, receive updates, and complete core job tasks on site.

ServiceM8 Lite is not designed for use by the business owner, or field staff with a management and/or billing role. This app does not have the same feature set or capabilities as the ServiceM8 iPhone/iPad app.

If you’re a subcontractor who subcontracts to a business using ServiceM8 — with ServiceM8 Lite, you can receive work requests, use digital job cards to get all job & client details, see your schedule in real time, complete checklists of job requirements, track time on site, review job history, and save job notes & photos.

Ratings and reviews

The Android app for ServiceM8 doesn't always update when changes are made to the schedule. Sometimes this can be fixed by uninstalling then reinstalling the app. When this doesn't work we have to print the schedule for staff. This fault has been reported to ServiceM8 and they informed me they are aware of the fault but don't know when the issue will be resolved. When it works, it's got basic functionality and would benefit from crew's being able to see each other's schedules and bigger photos.

painful app to use as it has none of the usable features of the iPhone app. You can't search for jobs and need them assigned to you to access them. The notes section is a complete pain, accident swiping downwards in the wrong spot closes the note and immediately looses all your progress, a simple prompt to before closing could have save me hours of rewriting notes.

service m8 team has made a reasonably good product but the android app is abysmal. constantly having issues uploading photos, signing in and out of jobs. really causes a lot of unnecessary stress between boss and workers because the app will not work properly. also, can't even upload videos from the android app. or upload photos from camera roll. do better servicem8. it's not a cheap software, and other companies integrate both iOS and Android apps into their systems much better than you.
