ServiceM8 Lite is a simple, fast & easy-to-use Android app specifically designed for field staff, subcontractors & temporary workers who just need the basics, and don’t have a management or billing role in the business. ServiceM8 Lite for Android gives these workers the essentials to know when & where to be, view key job details, receive updates, and complete core job tasks on site.

ServiceM8 Lite is not designed for use by the business owner, or field staff with a management and/or billing role. This app does not have the same feature set or capabilities as the ServiceM8 iPhone/iPad app.

If you’re a subcontractor who subcontracts to a business using ServiceM8 — with ServiceM8 Lite, you can receive work requests, use digital job cards to get all job & client details, see your schedule in real time, complete checklists of job requirements, track time on site, review job history, and save job notes & photos.

Ratings and reviews

Servicem8 has amazing features that other software's aren't even close to. I did a full review of everything and chose this software over all others. The app for Android however absolutely sucks. It's solely for employees who are the "do what your told" type. You can't really do anything other than view a job, notes and photos. Meaning you'll need a laptop with you on site or have to upgrade to Apple phones to make it work. Meaning set up is now $1000 plus the monthly subscription. Joke really.

I've been shopping around for an app that I can use for my small service based business, and servicem8 exactly fits the bill. Unfortunately, the app is unfinished. Some things simply don't work (reordering the icons in the job card view), UI elements are placed incorrectly or overlap with each other, updating from the server should be done by pulling down from the top, but instead you have to switch to a different tab and return to the schedule tab for it to update. Many other disappointments.

The app is essentially useless on Android. You can't search for jobs. There's no way to upload photos or documents through the app. You can't do partial invoices from anything other than the desktop version. I should in theory be able to run my business from my phone through this software but it's near impossible without a laptop or PC to use the desktop version. Hopefully some major updates will fix this but right now this app is unusable on Android.
