My first experiences with STEPS 6100 are excellent, connection works fine and I can update language and the menu settings for example. Happy so far! One request for enhancement: the display unit shows MANUAL in the middle of the screen, this is useful for bikes with automatic shifting, but my bike is manual only, so why not offer the option to use that part of the screen for something more useful (like a permanent range or odometer?

This app is absolutely awful. The latest version doesn't release my Di2 when I finish and click Disconnect to leave the app. After disconnecting, the bike remains absolutely non-responsive to any button, reconnecting or charging. After some hours it appears to time out and begins working again. This is terrifying and unusable. I just can't.

Switch off Bluetooth on your phone to disconnect if you're having trouble with the app disconnecting. I found sometimes the app disconnecting works and other times it leaves the derailleur in a stuck mode. But switching off Bluetooth on the phone has been a reliable way to have things start working again. I still don't have enough faith in the app to do any firmware upgrades yet though. But for some updates to synchronous shifting it's worked well enough.
