Self-Help+ Podcast
is a guided audio experience designed to help you cope with daily stress through practical, simple, and evidence-based approaches.
This podcast is based on the Self-Help+ program, a WHO’s 5-session stress management course designed for large groups of up to 30 people.
In this application, the National Mental Health Programme in Lebanon extracted the core skills from the training, simplified them, and re-recorded them as an audio podcast comprising 5 episodes that you can listen to anytime, anywhere.
Through the five episodes, you will learn:
• Practical tools to cope with psychological stress
• Simple exercises that help manage difficult thoughts and emotions
• Ways to deal with everyday sources of stress
• Supportive approaches to enhance well-being and support the recovery process
The podcast is accompanied by an illustrated guide entitled
“Doing What Matters in Times of Stress”,
which serves as a complementary resource that offers a visual experience to deepen understanding, facilitate the application of exercises, and ensure maximum benefit from each episode.
This application was designed to be:
• Easy to use
• Accessible at any time
• Suitable for people looking for practical tools to cope with stress and psychological pressure, without the need for prior experience
Self-Help+ is not a substitute for seeking mental health services when needed, but rather a supportive tool that helps you take small and achievable steps toward enhancing your mental health.
