About this game

Evidence-based chess training plan. Daily drills to boost rating & cut blunders.

If you’re serious about improving at chess, random chess puzzles and unstructured practice won’t reliably move your rating. Real progress comes from a structured chess training plan: short, focused sessions that build the exact skills that decide games—tactics, calculation, pattern recognition, time management, and blunder control.

Chess Training: Unique Drills is a clean, intuitive chess trainer built for consistent improvement. You get a guided routine with 12 different training types, designed to work together as a complete training cycle. Choose your session length (5, 10, 15, or 20 minutes) and train daily with purpose.

Whether you’re trying to learn chess, rebuild fundamentals, or break a rating plateau, this app turns your practice into a repeatable system—so you spend less time guessing what to do, and more time actually improving.

Why this chess training app works

Most players don’t lose because they “don’t know openings.” They lose because of:

missed tactics

rushed decisions

inconsistent calculation

weak pattern recognition

time trouble

simple blunders

This app targets those problems directly through daily chess drills that simulate the thinking you need in real games—not just passive puzzle solving.

You’ll train the “game-winning loop”:
see the idea → calculate accurately → choose the best move → avoid blunders → manage time → convert advantage

That’s what raises your Elo / rating.

12 unique training drills (not just chess puzzles)

You’ll practice across multiple modes that complement each other. Instead of only doing chess tactics puzzles, you’ll rotate through a variety of training tasks that strengthen different parts of your chess thinking.

This is what makes it feel like a real chess training plan, not a random chess puzzle collection.

Improve tactical vision and tactical speed

Build calculation depth and accuracy

Strengthen pattern recognition under pressure

Reduce blunders with decision discipline

Train focus in short, efficient sessions

Practice in a structured sequence that builds improvement habits

Session lengths that fit real life (5–20 minutes)

Consistency beats intensity. That’s why the app supports:

5-minute chess training (perfect daily habit)

10-minute training (steady improvement)

15-minute training (serious growth)

20-minute training (deep practice and stronger results)

Train on your schedule. Keep your streak. Build momentum.

If you only have 5 minutes, you can still do meaningful daily chess training. If you want more, extend your session and go deeper.

Built for rating improvement (Elo-focused)

A lot of “learn chess” apps are made for casual play. This one is made for improvement.

The structure is designed to help you:

boost rating

cut blunders

stop repeating the same tactical misses

increase practical conversion under time pressure

build a daily habit that compounds over weeks

If you’ve ever felt stuck—like you “know chess” but your rating doesn’t move—this is for you.

Clean, intuitive design (train more, tap less)

Chess players value clarity. You shouldn’t need to fight the UI to train.

The app is built to be:

fast to start

easy to understand

satisfying to complete

structured without feeling restrictive

You’ll spend your time doing chess training, not figuring out menus.

Who this is for

This chess training app is designed for:

players who want to learn chess the right way

intermediate players stuck at a rating plateau

tactical players who want more consistency

blitz/rapid players who struggle with time trouble

anyone who wants daily structure, not random training

If you want a serious chess trainer with a repeatable plan, you’re in the right place.

What you get

A guided chess training plan you can follow daily

12 unique drills in a structured cycle

Short sessions (5–20 minutes) designed for consistency

I'm impressed with the training. The responses are canned which I don't like and, in some cases, wrong. One example is after playing /reviewing a played game, the response is " Recognizing this pattern... " This response is too frequently seen. I would like to add after checking on other similar apps, this one is the best the best so far. The games downloaded from other sites are 5min. I think having an option as to what time controls is downloaded would nice.

So far.\nIt's good but I think you should add an option where you can basically analyze the moves and how human would look at from, like there's perspective. So instead of always looking for an engine move , as it responds to certain hard positions , you can always look at from a more human logical principle way of thinking , overall , it's gone way better than in the past

Thank you so much! This is exactly the kind of direction we want to improve. not only engine lines, but also more human, logical explanations of why a move makes sense. We’re really glad to hear the app feels much better than before, and we’ll keep working on this.

great app for learning from your mistakes and generally improving at chess. but I have notes; 1. I can't train anymore cos the app freezes after about 3 minutes in (the timer continues, but the app just freezes on a puzzle. 2. I get that the goal is pattern recognition, but the puzzles are too fast. sometimes I don't even understand the instructions. I get more value from pausing the training to actually understand the puzzle. 3. some puzzles solve themselves.

Thanks so much — love hearing it's helping your chess! No worries, it's not broken: on those puzzles the move is to tap the undefended piece (yours or the opponent's), and it carries right on. The speed's on purpose too — it trains your eye to spot tactics instantly, so don't stress over each one; miss it and it shows the answer. Keep it up!
