Gives context, please fix search No other app gives context for signs. Saves me embarrassment!!! PLEASE FIX FROM LATEST UPDATE. keyboard only allows one entry then won't pop up again to type another when return to search screen no matter what. Must exit app to look up more than one word. LG V10
Honestly great The best ASL dictionary app I've found! They have gifs and videos from different sources, and multiple signs for different meanings of the word you're looking for (example: if I search go it would give me videos of go, move, exit, travel etc. And because go can also mean to pass away you get all the words associated with that meaning of go as well!) There are some kinks with the app, namely that I can't search a word after already searching one, but I just exit the app, and some videos take longer to load.
Doesn't work on S7 I downloaded this app when I had my HTC One and used it to brush up on my sign as I do not use it as often as I did in college. However, I just upgraded to a Galaxy S7 and I can no longer use the app because the videos do not load. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app hoping it was just a transfer issue like I had within other apps, but it still doesn't work. I used this app quite frequently and would consider downloading the app again once this problem is fixed. For now, I will try out something else.
The keyboard glitch can be worked around. Simply search the last term a second time. Then tap the word and the keyboard will come back up. Don't have to exit the app. Better app than the animated app I was using. Simpler to understand.
The videos are a great help, but it would be nice if there was a little description or explanation with the signs. Because in some of the videos either go too fast or are different from other videos that on there. It would be nice to know which signs are "proper", updated, or preferred in the ASL community
Good search results, easy to use This app seems to have a pretty comprehensive data base, I like how easy it is to find words. I also appreciate how related words are brought up, and that the app doesn't delete my search query automatically. If looking to improve the app, try adding a scrollable list so users can see what words are available. A search history might be convenient to users who want to review searches. Overall I am greatly satisfied. Thanks for the fantastic app.
