About this app

Bouldering Log is a climb tracker built around one question: how many attempts did that problem take? Start a session at your gym or crag and add each boulder problem with its V grade, which counts as the first attempt. Tap +1 for each further attempt and Sent when you top out. Send it first go and it is recorded as a flash.

SESSION LOGGING
• Optional gym or crag name; your last five are remembered.
• V0–V17 grade chips, optional problem name.
• Large +1 attempt and Sent buttons with haptic feedback.
• Open projects stay at the top of the list until you send them.
• Undo the last tap for five seconds, or delete a problem.

LIVE SESSION STATS
Sends, flashes, attempts, hardest send and sends per attempt update with every tap, next to the session clock. Ending the session saves it and shows a summary with duration and a grade pyramid for that day.

HISTORY
All finished sessions with date, gym, duration, sends and hardest grade. Open one to change an attempt count or a sent mark afterwards, or delete the whole session.

PROGRESS
• 28-day calendar with the number of sends per day
• Hardest send per week for the last 12 weeks
• Grade pyramid of sends and flashes per V grade, last 30 days or all time

HOW IT COUNTS
Adding a problem is its first attempt and the sending attempt is part of the count. A flash is a send on attempt one. Hardest send and the pyramid only use V-graded problems. Each session belongs to the day it started.

GOOD TO KNOW
V scale only (no Font or rope grades). No account, no cloud sync, no photos or route maps. The log is kept on your phone and is removed if you uninstall the app. Entries from an earlier version are imported; they had no attempt counts, so they are not treated as flashes until you add one.
