Map Field captures the boundary of any real-world field — a stand of trees, a plot of land, a parcel — by GPS, lets you name it, and revisit it later.

Two capture modes:

• Track-by-Corners — walk to each corner, drop a pin, the polygon closes between them.
• Track-by-Walk — walk the perimeter and the GPS auto-samples a continuous path.

Built for field workers, agronomists, and surveyors who need a boundary they can trust. Captures live in your account, are exportable, and feed downstream remote-sensing pipelines (Sentinel-2, Landsat) that monitor crop health, vegetation cover, and land use.

WHAT YOU GET

PRIVACY-FIRST

Map Field collects only the email address you sign in with and the GPS boundaries you choose to capture. We never read your location in the background — only while you're actively capturing a boundary. Your data is yours; we don't sell or share it with third parties.

What’s new

What's new in v1.0.0+14:

- Walks keep recording with the phone in your pocket / screen off (background-recording fix).
- Track-by-Corners Save Point lands near-instantly when GPS is hot; falls back to averaging when not.
- Walk vertices now drop roughly every N metres at your Settings value (was ~3× that).
- Refreshed point-edit menu: tapped pin highlights orange so you see which point you're editing.
