[Introduction to PASS]

We provide authentication services such as identity verification, PASS certificates, and mobile ID cards, as well as credit, finance, stocks, real estate, investment, health, lifestyle information, and mobile payment services.

[Key Features]

Identity Verification: Text message and PASS app identity verification, providing authentication details.
PASS Certificate: Safe and convenient authentication for various applications, including Government24 and the National Tax Service's Hometax.
Resident Registration Card/Driver's License: Conveniently used with the same legal validity as a physical ID.
ID Payment: Register your ID and card, and complete adult verification and payment all in one go.
One-stop peace of mind: We provide everything from preemptive detection of financial fraud, such as phishing and identity theft, to compensation for damages, and even family care. Smart Ticket: Simultaneously verify your airline ticket and ID upon entering or exiting the domestic airport.
Pet Identification Card: Confirm pet information, including animal registration number, name, gender, breed, and neutering status.
PASS Wallet: Issue government electronic documents and various qualifications, National Secretary notifications, and personal certificate issuance.
Mobile Payment: View mobile payment history, discount benefits, limit inquiry and change, and content usage fee (DCB) limit inquiry and change.
Financial Benefits: Information and benefits on various financial products, including loans, cards, insurance, and investment management.
Financial Assistant: Integrated asset tracking and consumption analysis, financial health checkups and prescriptions, and personalized information and benefit notifications.
Spam Filtering: Block spam text messages, block number and keyword recommendations. Various other services provide useful information and benefits, including credit and stock investment.

[Service Eligibility]
- SK Telecom Customers
※ Subscription and use are only available on mobile phones registered in your name.
※ Also available to budget and corporate phone customers. (For corporate phones, this service is available only after registering as an actual user through a dealer or 114.)
※ The driver's license service is available only to licensed drivers aged 16 or older.
※ Users under 14 years of age may use the service with the consent of their legal representative registered with SK Telecom.
※ Users under 14 years of age cannot use the certificate or identity theft prevention service.

[Required Access Permissions]
- Phone: Phone number is collected and used for user verification and authentication.
- Notifications: Required for identity verification and authentication services.
※ Failure to consent will result in restrictions on service registration and use.

[Optional Access Permissions]
- Camera: Used for QR code authentication and photo taking.
- Location information: Used for mobile ID use.
- Contact information: Used for mobile wallet and spam filtering services. ※ You can still use the service even if you do not consent to optional access permissions.

[User Guide]
- Supported Versions: AOS 8 or higher
- If you are unable to use the app and wish to cancel your PASS subscription, please send a request to [e-mail].
- PASS by SK telecom is a free service provided by SK Telecom. (Data charges may apply depending on your plan.)

- This service may not function if you arbitrarily modify your phone's usage environment (jailbreaking, hacking, etc.).

Ratings and reviews

Cannot use app because it blocks GrapheneOS on Pixel phones which are more secure than regular android.

This is a big basic problem the developers need to fix immediately. Many foreigners have special characters (특수문자) in their names. This is because immigration and even SK Telecom puts hyphens (대시) in our names for some odd reason. Example: DOE JOH-N. The PASS app won't allow special characters like hyphens. This makes it IMPOSSIBLE for many foreigners to register. I have programmed apps, and this is a simple bug that the PASS developers should be ashamed of.

If a review is posted in English, you should also reply to the post in English. I wonder when South Korea will get this simple, basic courtesy. Stop copying and pasting the same message in Korean; come up with at least a few versions in English - run a Google Translate at least if you are not capable.
