**Does it work offline?**
No — image understanding runs via a cloud AI model.

**Does it store my scans?**
Locally, on your device only. Nothing is synced to our servers.

**Will it read my handwriting?**
Usually, yes — the underlying AI model handles messy handwriting much better than classic OCR. Block capitals work best.

**Can I export to Notion, Jira, or Linear?**
You can copy structured text and paste it into any tool. Native integrations are on the roadmap.

**How is this different from built-in phone text recognition?**
Built-in text recognition reads letters. Slate Pro understands what kind of document you photographed — and returns output that matches the document type. Diagrams come back as diagrams. Action items come back as action items. Summaries come back as summaries.
