Ratings and reviews

I wasn't sure how to get started given that I had only used a radar gun. But the tutorials and the online resources helped a great deal and I was up and running in no time. The convenience and accuracy are excellent. I applaud the team at SmartPitch for creating such an innovative offering and would encourage anyone interested in low cost speed gun to try it.

This app does exactly what is claims and does it very well. The data it processes is a lot of VERY precise math; inconsistencies WILL skew the data and slow down the app. First, if your phone has slower processing or lower quality camera, it will work. It's but not likely stalled or crashed, it just takes more front-loading to get the same job done. Be a little extra patient with your phone being pushed to its limits. Second, use a tripod, it's the best way to insure its data is consistent.

at first i couldn't get it to work but it was all on me. i was the one doing things wrong. if you make the 30ft off to the side of pitching mound correctly and set up the mound to plate correctly it starts reading the pitch right away and you definitely have to use a tripod, you cant hold the phone. once it was set up it was very accurate and the app iv been waiting years to see in the app market! and its extremely affordable once you go past the 30 free pitches. 4.99 for a month, 14.99 yearly!
