About this app

Smartrplace delivers an intelligent building control system that automatically optimizes heating and cooling, typically reducing energy consumption by up to 30%. By connecting to employees and occupancy calendars, the system only conditions occupied rooms — saving energy without sacrificing comfort. The platform installs quickly in offices, schools, and other commercial buildings with no structural changes required.

The app is used within buildings operated by Smartrplace's clients. Users include employees, business partners, tenants, and visitors of those organizations. Accounts are always issued by the building operator — for example, through an employer, or at reception upon entering the building. Temporary credentials may also be provided for short-term use, such as for a single day or for all participants entering a meeting room. Because building visitors cannot be pre-registered by the operator, the app must be publicly available on the store for download.

Building visitors can use the app to adjust the temperature of meeting rooms and temporary workspaces. No account registration or payment is required from the end user. The app contains no paid content or in-app purchases. It is currently distributed primarily in Germany, with broader expansion planned.
