About this app

Measure your elevation instantly with a clean GPS altimeter built for hiking, cycling, travel, and the outdoors — working even when you are completely offline. Open the app and your current altitude is right there: one large, readable number, with a single tap to switch between metres and feet.

WORKS WITHOUT A SIGNAL
Your altitude is read directly from your device's GPS and barometric pressure sensor, so the reading keeps working with no cell signal and no Wi-Fi — out in the backcountry, in the mountains, or on a trail far from coverage. No account and no sign-up to get started.

GPS + BAROMETER, FUSED
When your device has a pressure sensor, the app combines it with GPS for a steadier, more responsive elevation reading, and shows you which source is active. A clear source label keeps the reading honest.

SEE YOUR CLIMB
• Live elevation profile chart — watch your ascent and descent draw out in real time
• Ascent / descent rate — your current vertical speed in metres or feet per hour
• Session stats — minimum, maximum, and total elevation change since you started
• Barometer pressure readout in hPa when your device supports it

CALIBRATE TO A KNOWN POINT
Standing at a trail marker or a peak with a posted elevation? Calibrate to that known value in a couple of taps — or accept the GPS suggestion — and every reading lines up from there. No paywall.

BUILT FOR THE OUTDOORS
• Large, high-contrast display designed to read at a glance, even in dark mode
• Metres / feet toggle — tap the unit or change it in settings
• Battery-friendly — sensors pause automatically when the app is in the background
• No sign-up, no account — just open it and go

USE CASES
• Checking elevation on a hike, trail run, or mountain bike ride
• Watching your altitude gain and loss on a cycling climb
• Tracking elevation changes on a road trip through varied terrain
• Confirming take-off and landing elevation for casual drone flights
• Curiosity — see how high you are, wherever you are

HOW IT WORKS
The app reads altitude from your device's GPS signal, and from the built-in barometric pressure sensor when one is present. A short location permission grant is needed for the GPS reading; the barometer needs no permission. Elevation accuracy depends on your device, satellite signal, and weather, so use it for hiking, cycling, and casual outdoor activity — not for aviation, paragliding, or any activity that requires certified altitude data.

PRIVACY
Location is used only for the live altitude reading on your device. It is not stored, transmitted, or shared, and the app keeps no record of where you have been.

Open it, check your elevation, and go.
