1 star. I enabled the trial-ending reminder, but Sniffspot never sent me any email or notification before charging my card $192 for an annual membership. I canceled immediately, and support confirmed in writing on July 1 that a full refund had been issued and would arrive in 3–5 business days. It still has not arrived. Reaching a real person is nearly impossible; you get AI responses instead of actual help. This subscription process feels deliberately misleading. Avoid.

I have been using this app for years and it is great for finding places to let my reactive dog off leash safely. Booking is easy and all the spots I've used have been clean with great hosts. The only downside is that they can't seem to correctly manage their subscription service. I've been shorted credits for several months on 2 different occasions. They are not transparent with credit history/transactions. If you sign up I recommend checking your account when your monthly payment comes out.

Used to be able to book without a subscription. Can't even see availability now. Support stopped responding to me. I have an account that made bookings before November 2024 which according to their policy still should be able to make bookings without a subscription. Instead, it's a $60/month subscription. Outside of that, this is a great service, but I literally can't use it. I'm trying to make my elderly dog's summer memorable but they don't care.
