About this app

SocialLite uses Android's Accessibility Service to monitor and limit time spent in social media apps, enforcing the screen time limits you set. This service does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data — it is used solely to detect which app is in the foreground and apply your configured restrictions

SocialLite is the app for people who want to use social media without losing hours to endless scrolling.

We don't block social media entirely - that's not realistic. Instead, SocialLite surgically removes the most addictive features while keeping the parts you actually need.

What gets blocked:

- Short-form video feeds designed to keep you scrolling
- Algorithmic recommendations and suggested content
- Explore and discovery pages
- Live streams and shopping tabs
- Ads and sponsored posts

What you keep:

- Direct messages and conversations
- Profiles you intentionally visit
- Content friends send you directly
- The ability to post and share

How it works:
SocialLite provides a focused browsing experience for popular social platforms. Check your DMs without getting pulled into endless video feeds. Browse messages without algorithmic content hijacking your attention.

When you tap on a video someone sent you, you can watch that specific video - but you can't scroll to the next one. This simple guardrail is the difference between a 30-second check-in and a 30-minute spiral.

Privacy first:

SocialLite doesn't track your browsing, collect your data, or sell anything to advertisers. Your attention is yours.

Take back your time.

i really love the pro version and I've found it's already helped resist the urge to "doomscroll". my only issue is that every so often the app will go back to the free version and wont let me change any of the pro settings even though i have the pro version and the only way to fix this is by deleting and redownloading the app. luckily it still blocks reels in the native app whenever this happens but it's annoying to have to go through this process whenever it bugs out. still highly recommend!

The app is great at what it does. Basically it gives us the web versions of these apps with the short form content removed. and I understand why the feature of blocking reels on the native apps is behind a premium payment. However, I do wish that the payment method was a one-time purchase instead of a subscription then I'd actually buy it. Also a free trial would be nice, just so I can see how the app blocks shorts on the native apps before purchasing.

Hey Hamza, we totally understand where you’re coming from. Unfortunately, we had to make the tough decision to make the app subscription-based because we have recurring costs to cover on our end. With the monthly plan, you can try the app first before committing to a yearly plan, which is what I’d recommend. Thank you for understanding!

Great so far, I have great appreciation for it being free to use. Obviously, as it's only just launched it's understandable that there are a few bugs, and a lot of them have already been fixed after only a couple of days. One thing I'd appreciate is if you could fix the issue of not being able to upload stories and content on Instagram, as it only partly works. Besides that, I'm loving the app.

Hey thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately Instagram doesn't allow us to do this on SocialLite but we have added a feature that allows you to use the actual Instagram app without reels so you can still post. Let us know what you think!
