About this app
SpeedoMeterPro shows your speed from GPS and keeps a log of your trips.
Live
- Three views: an analogue gauge (0 to 200 km/h), a large digital readout, and a map of your route.
- Distance, elapsed time and top speed for the current trip.
- Speed is smoothed to reduce jumps between GPS updates.
- Switch units between km/h, mph and knots; distance switches with them.
Trips
- Start and stop a trip with one button.
- Each saved trip shows the date, start and end times, duration, average speed and distance, and a map snapshot when you stop on the map view.
Good to know
- Average speed counts the whole trip time, including stops.
- GPS speed needs a clear view of the sky. It can lag or jump in tunnels, between tall buildings or under trees, and it does not replace your vehicle's speedometer.
- Keep the app open during a trip.
- The map needs an internet connection to load; speed and distance come from GPS alone.
- Do not handle your phone while driving. Set it up before you start, or let a passenger use it.
