AppAddiction helps you notice your habits, set clear boundaries, and make a deliberate choice when you reach a limit. Choose the apps you want to monitor, set timing rules for each one, and track your progress without adding noise to your day.
BUILD MINDFUL APP HABITS
• Choose when the first pause appears and how often later pauses repeat
• Set a separate daily limit for each monitored app
• Leave the app immediately or continue intentionally
• Review streaks, successful exits, mindful days, and progress goals
• Start or stop monitoring whenever you choose
FREE AND PREMIUM
Free Self Monitoring supports up to three monitored apps. If you choose to continue at an eligible intervention, AppAddiction may offer an optional rewarded ad.
Premium supports unlimited monitored apps, removes rewarded ads, and includes Guardian tools for pairing up to two Child devices. Monthly and yearly plans include the same Premium features. Prices are displayed by Google Play in your local currency. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through Google Play.
GUARDIAN AND CHILD DEVICES
A Guardian creates a short-lived pairing code. The Child device activates using that code—no Google account or separate Child subscription is required.
The Guardian can view the Child device label, AppAddiction version, permission readiness, monitoring status, and last-seen time, and can unpair the device.
Monitoring is never hidden. AppAddiction displays a persistent Android notification while monitoring is active.
PRIVACY BY DESIGN
App selection, timing rules, app-usage totals, goals, and session results remain on the device.
AppAddiction does not read screen content, messages, URLs, typed text, photos, contacts, microphone audio, precise location, or keystrokes. App names and app-usage history from a paired Child device are not sent to the Guardian.
AppAddiction requires Android Usage Access to measure foreground app time, notification permission to display monitoring status, and permission to display over other apps to show the pause screen. Setup can be skipped, and permissions can be reviewed later in Settings.
Google sign-in is optional for Self Monitoring and Child activation. It is required for Guardian features and account-based Premium purchases or restoration.
AppAddiction is a mindful-use aid. It does not force-stop other apps or replace Android's built-in device security or parental-control features.
