The grid method is a classic way to transfer a photo, sketch, or reference image while maintaining proportions.

SOS Artista helps with this process by calculating where the grid lines should be drawn on the canvas.

Configure the drawing grid, enter the canvas dimensions, and the app calculates the corresponding measurements.

This is especially useful when:

ORGANIZE YOUR REFERENCE AND DETAILS AS A PROJECT

Each project starts with one main reference image, but you can crop and enlarge details and save them as additional images within the same project.

Each image or crop can have its own drawing grid and one or more measurement sheets. For example, if you know that a detail will occupy 20 × 20 cm on your canvas, you can grid that crop separately and calculate the exact measurements for drawing its lines.

You can also add notes to the project and to individual images, and export measurement sheets for separate reference while you work.

This keeps the main reference, important details, grids, proportions, measurements, and notes together in one project.
