SocializApp is a mobile application developed by the Consorci Sanitari de l’Anoia (Barcelona) under the direction of Dr. Daniel Vega Moreno, within the framework of a research project funded by the State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research (PID2021-129109OB-I00).
This app is designed to investigate the use of social networks and their relationship to mental health in young people. To use it, a professional must provide you with a personalized access code.
This application is designed to investigate the effect of interaction through social networks and its potential emotional impact. The app will become operational the day after its installation. It is designed to be used for 7 days. During this time, you will interact with other users. The app is designed to be accessed twice a day. Each time you access it, you must browse the content and then upload a photo. This photo (whether taken at that moment or not) should have characteristics that the user believes will appeal to other users, similar to how they do on other social networks. Ideally, the photo should not contain images of faces. You will also be able to see photos uploaded by other users and like or comment on them whenever and however you see fit.
As part of its operation, the app will regularly ask you how you are doing, and based on your answers, it will offer you support through a website. On this website, you will also find information on how to contact the researchers if necessary.
