It is a more organised way to write on the field than dumping massive piles of text into saved messages. However, to my great disappointment, it has little in the way of coordinating a project with the PC version. Import/export is useless, you're better off sending your yw7 file to your phone. And speaking of, why does it open 3-6 instances of the project every time I open it again? Data items are missing categories, like notes and images from characters. There is no way to interface with XMLs.

Not great, needs improvement. Especially for a paid app, this is pretty disappointing. Please add the ability to open the last used project. Having to click 6 times just to make a quick note is ridiculous. Also, let us see all the info for the characters. Right now you can't see the alternate names, goals, or pictures you added on the pc version.

Hi Warren,
Thanks for your feedback! Recently we've added a way to re-open the last used project in one click from the main menu. More features from the PC version will come to the app soon. A good way to check the current state compared to the PC version is in the User Guide: https://sites.google.com/site/ywritersj/ywriter-for-android-user-guide

I've been using YWriter since v5, at first because it was free and portable--I could load it onto a portable drive and use it on any computer--and then because it's simple enough I can stay focused, but with the right features to help me outline and organize larger projects. Now that I'm on my phone so much more than my computer, I'm thrilled to find it's on Android! It's always been reliable on desktop and the mobile app seems great so far!
