About this game

■ SPEED CARD RUSH ── reflex meets mind games

A 2026-Brutalist refresh of the classic two-player "Speed"
card race. Pure-reflex card placement where every half-second
counts.

▸ How to play
Two centre piles. You can drop a hand card on either pile as
long as it's ±1 in rank from the top card. First to empty
their hand AND their stock wins. You have about 0.5 seconds
to find a play before your opponent does.

▸ Three game modes
• Local 2P: pass-and-play on one device. In landscape, the
layout is fully top/bottom-symmetric so both players see an
upright UI
• CPU: Easy / Medium / Hard AI difficulty
• Wi-Fi: 1:1 LAN match (no account needed)

▸ v2.1 highlights — Brutalist overhaul
• New logo / icon (3-card fan + SPEED. lockup)
• Boldly redrawn card faces — ranks, suits, layout
• Rose accent (#E11D48) unified across every screen
• Landscape support across every mode (incl. tablet)

▸ Usability upgrades
• Drag-drop pile selection is now overlap-area based; a card
straddling both piles goes to the side it covers more
• Playable cards pulse with a rose halo (toggleable)
• Same-rank cards merge into a stack when dragged onto each
other in hand
• Optional tap-to-play for one-handed play

▸ Ready-screen rules strip
Before each match, a strip of chips shows the four toggleable
rules (stack same ranks / colour-split deal / playable
highlight / click-to-play) at a glance. Tap the strip to
flip any of them — no buried menus.

▸ Sound
Dedicated SFX for draw / flip / play / win, individually
toggleable.

▸ Light & offline
Everything works offline except ads. No account, no
mandatory sign-in. Minimal telemetry (anonymous crash
reports only, opt-out available).

Whether you're a Speed veteran or haven't shuffled cards in
years, this is a tight 3-minute card duel built for fast
hands and sharper eyes.
