Use the SQUATX® Exercise App from SmithShaper® and its built-in tabata-like timer to easily create your own custom Workout of the Day (WoD), just the way you want it. Your SmithShaper fitness routines (WoDs) can be as difficult or as easy as you want them to be. You have full control starting with the number SmithShaper exercises (videos) you want to include in your workout and which of your Youtube music playlists, that you create within the SQUATX app, you want to workout to. You can set the length of each exercise cycle, the cycle rest duration, and the set rest duration. You can also select what SmithShaper multipurpose exerciser(s) you will use for all of your workouts. For example, you may want to do 4 exercises (4 Sets) and repeat each exercise 3 times (3 Cycles) for 20 seconds each (Cycle Work Duration). You can save each of your WoDs and as long as your settings haven't changed you can run the same WoD at any time. If your settings have changed, such as the number of exercises you plan to perform, no worries, as the app will let you know if your WoD doesn't match your settings so that you can quickly adjust your settings.
USING THE SQUATX EXERCISE APP
In order to have the exercise videos play along during your workout, first configure your settings (see "SETTINGS" below). Next, use the "Build" area on the Home screen to select the exercises in your WoD by muscle targeting, browsing exercise videos or devices, or by searching on exercise names or numbers. After adding exercises to a New WoD, run your workout by selecting the WoD name using one of the two the "Start" icons on the Home Screen.
Depending upon the SmithShaper device you have, you can perform a variety of exercises such as three types of squats, ab rolls, core crushers, rolling pikes, hamstring curls, door anchored resistance band exercises, lying scissors, ice skaters, and many more. There are over 85 exercises included in the SQUATX Exercise App and each piece of SmithShaper exercise equipment you own enables between 16 & 42 exercises. If you have two different SmithShaper devices, you can perform between 32 & 85 exercises.
Add your selected exercises to your WoD. Each WoD / personal fitness routine you create can be saved for future use. Prior to running your exercise you can rearrange the exercise order on the "Active WoD" screen by dragging the exercise to a new spot in your exercise order. When you're ready to start your WoD, tap "Open WoD Timer" for the SQUATX App’s Built-in Timer/Exercise Video Screen. Once on the timer screen you can view what exercise is first and scroll down to see your overall exercise settings for the workout. When you're all warmed up and ready to start, simply tap the green "Go" button. As you workout, your active YouTube music playlist will play and your selected motion video for each exercise will run along with the SQUATX app timer for all repetitions of each exercise. Between exercise cycles, the rest timer will let you know what exercise is next.
SMITHSHAPER® EXERCISES
All 85+ SmithShaper exercises are included within the SQUATX app. This includes door-anchored and self-anchored resistance band-bar exercises as well as rolling bodyweight resistance exercises (e.g. rolling wall squats, ab rolls, core crushers, and many more) on the patented SmithShaper PRO or FIT model ASR (Ab Squat Roller) or SQUATX devices. In addition to the 25 ASR exercises such as wall squats and ab-rollouts, many other exercises are possible on the SQUATX device such as resistance band shadow boxing, and resistance band chest presses with rolling wall squats, and more.
The SQUATX App is based upon the SmithShaper SQUATX Max 85-Exercise System. However, any SmithShaper multipurpose exerciser(s) you own can be used with the SQUATX app. Similar workout equipment from other manufacturers can also be used with the SQUATX app.
