About this app

This mobile application enables users to assess emotional expressivity in animals through a method called Qualitative Behaviour Assessment (QBA). Users are invited to enter 15-20 descriptive terms such as relaxed, anxious, excited, or bored, and are then presented with continuous visual analogue scales so as to score observed animals on these terms. Once submitted, scores are statistically integrated through Principal Component Analysis, resulting in an outcome graph that visually projects the assessment onto a pre-set emotional well-being matrix defined by mood and energy axes.
