Codon is a four-year biology course that works offline. Lesson 1 starts at water and pH. Lesson 100 ends at synthetic biology and the genomes people now write from scratch. Between them you cover cells, metabolism, inheritance, gene expression, evolution, ecology and the physiology of whole organisms.
The 20 courses carry numbers, 1.1 through 4.5. Read straight through, or open the one you came for.
The first 10 lessons are free, and there is no subscription.

FREE PREVIEW AND FULL ACCESS
The preview covers all of 1.1 The Chemistry of Life and all of 1.2 Cell Structure, 10 lessons ending at the cytoskeleton. The biologist profiles, the glossary, every quiz, the landmark cases, spaced review, search, bookmarks, notes and widgets cost nothing either.
One purchase opens the remaining 90 lessons. The purchase restores on devices using the same Google account. There are no ads and nothing else to buy.
OFFLINE AND PRIVATE
The curriculum and the reference library install with the app, so lessons, quizzes, profiles, glossary entries, landmark cases and review work with no connection. Codon has no sign-up and requests no internet permission, so it cannot open a connection of its own. The Google Play Store app on your phone carries out the purchase and the restore, and support, privacy and source links open in your browser.
Codon keeps progress, quiz attempts, bookmarks, notes and review state on the device. Android's cloud backup and device-to-device transfer can copy that data to a new phone, following your Google backup settings. Stack Trace Studios runs no server for this app and builds in no analytics or advertising SDK.
