Blind Explorer is a sensorial guidance system that integrates binaural sounds ( 3D sounds) as well as advanced satellite navigation technologies, allowing anybody to move autonomously and securely through unknown path without the need for mobile signal. Besides, it is especially accessible for blind or visually impaired people.
Blind explorer is an intuitive, functional and accessible application based on the design for all philosophy.
The use of 3D sounds as acoustic stimulus allows for an unintrusive guidance solution, allowing the navigation through a path or course without the need of staring at the phone (eyes-hands-mind free).
APP functionality:
Routes: Navigation among high precision pre-recorded routes or paths
Explore: Create your own routes with some very simple steps
Map: Information about the selected route identifying it in the map and its POI and potential dangers.
Compass: Allows the guidance through a given path.
Help: Allows the user to send rescue sms with its last known position.
Available accessories:
Bone transmission headphones allow for a more relaxed user experience leaving the ear channel free and allowing for a seamless listening experience.
The use of an external Bluetooth GPS unit will allow to improve the precision of the navigaton, providing a more secure navigation(recommended for severe visually impaired people).
