About this app

Artists have always needed a quick and easy reference to help them understand the anatomy & forms of their portrait models. The Head Study App, is that resource.

These portrait models were created to make the study of portraiture easier, but also to enhance your knowledge of the human form. The appearance of the face can be understood best by studying what is underneath the surface. The simplified planar head and the skull in this app are made with the same proportion to make this comparison as clear as possible.

This is an amazing resource. You can specify two light sources with their own intensities and hues. Yes, I wish there were more head models, but already for the price this app is excellent as a tool and easy to use. Changing the lighting angles sometimes feels fiddly but I am getting the hang of it.

excellent app however I've been troubleshooting declined payments when I try to purchase the female head pack. very odd but I'll keep trying.

This is a great app for artists! Only been using it a few days and I love it! It's really easy to use, adjust settings, and is great for perfecting things like tone and lighting! The quality of the various heads are amazing and I love how you can alter the lighting in so many ways! If I had to add something I would ask for some kind of measuring device/grid to help absolute beginners with proportions, but apart from that I think it's great! Highly recommend!
