About this game

No fake wobble. A real rigid body solver, running under every drop.

Stack Balance is a stacking game built on an actual 2D physics engine written for it: oriented boxes, separating-axis collision with face clipping, and a sequential impulse solver with accumulated friction and warm starting, stepped at a fixed 240 Hz. That is the same family of technique real physics middleware uses, and it is why a tall stack here settles and holds instead of jittering apart.

Every object has a genuine mass, size and coefficient of friction. A 6.5 kg kettlebell lands differently from a 0.9 kg traffic cone, and a long timber plank behaves like a long timber plank.

HOW IT PLAYS

A carrier sweeps back and forth above the platform. Tap Drop and the object is released - no snapping, no magnets, no invisible help. It falls, it lands, it settles, and whatever happens next is what the solver says happens next.

Land an object square and steady and your combo climbs. Land it crooked and the combo resets. Knock one off the edge and the run is over.

WHAT YOU ARE READING

- Stability: how much energy is still moving through the stack
- Tilt: the live lean of the top object, in degrees, on a coloured gauge
- Wind: a steady sideways force from the middle levels onwards, that you have to lean against
- Height: measured in metres up from the platform

TWENTY-FOUR LEVELS

Eight easy, eight medium, eight hard. The platform gets narrower, the wind gets stronger, the object pool gets heavier and more awkward, and the number you have to place keeps rising.

TWENTY-FOUR OBJECTS TO UNLOCK

Crates, cans, plant pots, book stacks, toolboxes, bricks, dumbbells, traffic cones, lamps, old televisions, planks, drawer units and more, in three rarities. Each one is catalogued with its real mass, and clearing levels adds the objects that level used to your collection.

RECORDS THAT MEAN SOMETHING

High score, tallest stack in metres, best combo, longest run and a chart of your last ten scores, alongside levels cleared, stars, objects unlocked and perfect placements.

WHAT IS INSIDE

- A purpose-built rigid body engine: friction, restitution, torque, stacking
- 24 levels, 24 objects, three difficulty bands
- Daily challenge picked from the date
- Full records screen with a score chart
- Optional tilt gauge, haptics and animated background

NO ADS MID-RUN, NO ACCOUNT, NO INTERNET

Everything runs on your device, including the physics. Nothing is uploaded and nothing needs signing in to.

Drop it. Watch it lean. Hold your breath.
Stack real objects on a real physics solver. Weight, friction and tilt decide.
