The Seccure mobile App helps users, spouses/friends, managers, and drivers who are victims of bullying report the incidents to their spouses/friends, managers, and administrators.
The App classifies bullying into 6 types such as Domestic Violence / Economic Abuse, Human Trafficking, Elder Abuse, Corporate Bullying, College Violations, and Hate Crimes. Out of these, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat are major social media platforms where bullying happens.
When a user chooses cyber bullying, the seccure app allows the users to sign in with their Facebook/Instagram/Snapchat accounts to get the username of the account of users who are bullied.
This information is collected so that the App can send an automated email to the support group of the respective platforms or the Spouse/Friends, managers and administrators can write to the support groups of the platforms and provide the username of the person being bullied for the platforms to take action against the posts that are offensive.
It also helps the administrators to know, understand and analyze the Cyber Bullying incidents.
Listed below are features of the App:
1) Reporting incidents by uploading pictures, videos or audio
2) EBB (Emergency Bullying Button)
The EBB button is an emergency button that the user presses or say "Emergency" to voice activate to begin video recording their violation.
3) Text Alerts:
After uploads are made by the users about bullied incidents, text alerts are immediately sent to spouses/friends, administration and Drivers.
4) Chat Rooms:
Users, Spouse/Friends, Managers, Drivers and administrators use the chatroom platform to communicate with each other.
5) Bereavement Registry:
The bereavement registry is for individuals to upload information and photos about adolescents who lost their lives as a result of being bullied.
6) Information Station:
This section is where App user is educated about bullying and or the negative mental effects on individuals. The information station also provides empowerment tools and access to licensed clinical professionals.
7) Social Media:
In the APP the user can click on Facebook, Instagram, and Snap Chat. This function takes them directly to these social media platforms where they can report cyber bullying. The user can send screenshots, photos, video clips from their personal Seccure account regarding bullying incidents/violations. This will notify these social media platform administrations to pursue action at a faster pace.
8) Tracker:
The location tracker feature will track your users. In the case of a bullying violation, users will be tracked for 15 minutes after to reinforce their safety.
