About this app

Block the apps that steal your time, stop doomscrolling and get your focus back, with Sandy, a pet that actually cares.

Stop Wasting Time is an app blocker, focus timer and habit tracker in one. When you reach for Instagram, TikTok or YouTube on autopilot, Sandy steps in. When you follow through, Sandy celebrates.

Made for cutting screen time and phone addiction, whether you are studying, working or simply tired of scrolling.

★ AN APP BLOCKER THAT INTERVENES
When you reach for Instagram, TikTok or any distraction, Sandy steps in. It asks whether you really need it right now, throws a quick maths challenge to break autopilot, and asks for a short reflection before letting you through. Block one app for free, schedules and daily limits included. Pro lifts the limit.

★ A COMPANION THAT REACTS TO YOU
Sandy responds to what you actually do: happy when you follow through, sad when you slip, proud at every milestone. Six emotional states and twelve animations, driven by your real progress.

★ FOCUS WITH POMODORO & DEEP WORK
Choose Pomodoro for short bursts or Deep Work for long sessions, with ambient focus sounds. Both can auto-block distractions, and the timer keeps running when you switch apps.

★ HABITS & GOALS THAT STICK
Link daily habits to real goals, grow your streak, and hit milestones with Sandy cheering each one. A habit tracker that means something. Free: 3 goals, habit tracking, one blocked app, all six of Sandy's moods. Pro: unlimited goals, habits and blocked apps, strict mode, notes with photos, and 90 days of statistics.

★ IT SUPPORTS YOU INSTEAD OF SHAMING YOU
Built for anyone tired of apps that trade in guilt. Lose a streak and Sandy is sad, not angry — tomorrow starts clean.

★ DESIGNED FOR YOUR SCREEN
Dark mode by default. Colour-blind mode for full accessibility. Works offline. No ads, ever.

★ NEVER LOSE A STREAK (PRO ANNUAL)
Annual subscribers keep their streaks alive on missed days automatically — no counters, no extra purchases.

★ FAIR PRICING
The free version is useful on its own. Pro costs less than a coffee a month when paid annually, and the annual plan includes a 7-day free trial. Cancel anytime. Your data stays yours: full backup export and restore, free for everyone.

★ HOW THE BLOCKER WORKS (ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE)
Stop Wasting Time uses Android's AccessibilityService API, and app blocking is what needs it. The service does one thing: it detects the package name of the app currently in the foreground, so Sandy can show the block screen for the apps you chose. It does not read screen content, capture text or keystrokes, and takes no screenshots — it is declared with canRetrieveWindowContent="false". Everything happens on your device in real time; nothing is stored, logged or sent anywhere. It is optional: the app works without it, blocking simply will not, and you can switch it off any time in Android Settings → Accessibility.

If you have ever opened Instagram on autopilot, or felt guilty for not moving on your goals, this focus pet is worth a week of your time.

What’s new

What's new in v1.1.18:
• Fixed: pressing Home on the block screen could bring it straight back
• Blocked apps are caught reliably, also when they return from the background
