Know about closures before they happen.
IMPORTANT: StreetCheat is an independent app made by Hantis USA, LLC. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any government agency, state transportation department, city or county. It shows public closure information that those agencies publish; follow their official announcements and posted signs.
StreetCheat watches the drives you make most — home to work, school drop-off, the weekly run to the job site — and tells you when a lane or road closure is in your way, before you leave.
HOW IT WORKS
• Add a route once: where from, where to, which days, what time you leave.
• Every hour, StreetCheat checks your route against public closure information published by state transportation departments and city and county governments.
• When something is on your way, you get a notification — and, if you like, an email summary the evening before.
WHAT YOU GET
• Closures on your actual route, in your direction of travel — not every closure in the city.
• Only the ones that matter for when you drive: a nighttime lane closure won't bother you on an afternoon commute.
• Whether an alternate route is clear.
• A week-ahead look every Sunday.
• Morning-of reminders, quiet hours, and a daily summary at the time you choose.
• Rotating shifts supported: 1 on / 2 off, 4 on / 4 off and more.
• Each route's alerts by email too, to you or someone who makes the same drive.
WHERE IT WORKS
State highways in all 50 states, plus city and county streets in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Philadelphia, San Antonio, San Diego, Dallas, Austin, Indianapolis, Nashville, Las Vegas, Washington DC, Boston, Miami, Seattle, Denver, Detroit and more than 380 other cities and counties. Each route shows which sources it's checked against, and tells you plainly when an area isn't covered yet.
WHERE THE INFORMATION COMES FROM
Closure information comes from the public data of the agencies that manage the roads, including:
• U.S. Department of Transportation, Work Zone Data Exchange (WZDx) feed registry: https://data.transportation.gov/Transportation/Work-Zone-Data-Exchange-WZDx-Feed-Registry/69qe-yiui
• State transportation departments' work-zone feeds and 511 traveler sites, for example Texas (https://drivetexas.org), California (https://quickmap.dot.ca.gov), New York (https://511ny.org), Florida (https://fl511.com) and Ohio (https://ohgo.com)
• City and county open-data portals, for example New York City (https://data.cityofnewyork.us), Los Angeles (https://data.lacity.org) and Dallas (https://www.dallasopendata.com)
