About this app

Wellquill is a private medication tracker and reminder for Android. Build custom dose schedules, get reliable reminders, keep an eye on how many doses you have left, and log health events like migraines, blood pressure readings or doctor visits.

Tired of medication apps that lock your own data behind a monthly subscription, or that pay for themselves by sharing your health information? Wellquill does neither.

Free to try for 28 days, then one payment of £4 unlocks it for life. No subscription, no ads, no account. Your data stays on your device; an optional Android backup goes to your own Google account, never to us.

How it works
Add your medications, set a schedule that matches how you actually take them, and Wellquill reminds you at the right time. Mark a dose as taken or snooze it straight from the notification. Your doses-remaining count goes down as you take them, and you get a reminder when stock runs low so you can reorder in time.

Features
- Flexible dose schedules: fixed daily times, every few hours, specific weekdays, every N days, cycles (days on and off), and as-needed
- Tapering courses, with the dose changing over dated phases
- Reliable reminders that keep working after a restart, with Taken, Snooze and Skip actions on the notification
- Everything due at the same time arrives as one notification you can confirm in a single tap, and repeats quietly if you do not respond
- Doses remaining and low-supply reminders so you can refill in time
- Log a dose you took off-schedule, and correct the time or amount of one you already recorded
- Dose history grouped by day, with filters
- Barcode capture to add a medication by scanning its pack (UK and US)
- Build-your-own forms to log anything: migraines, blood pressure, mood, doctor visits
- Browse and edit past entries, with simple charts of what you have logged
- Optional app lock: fingerprint, face or your screen lock
- Full JSON export and import, so your data is yours to move or back up

Perfect for
- Daily prescriptions and long-term medication
- Complex or changing regimens, including tapers and cyclical courses
- Carers keeping track of someone else's medication
- Anyone who wants to keep a private health diary on their own phone

Private by design
Wellquill is local-first. There are no accounts, and we run no cloud of our own — your medications, schedules and logs live on your device. Lock the app behind your fingerprint, face or screen lock; its contents stay hidden in the app switcher and cannot be screenshotted. Erase everything, on the device and in your backup, whenever you like. Two things are optional and never come to us: an Android backup you can turn on that syncs to your own Google account, and a US medicine-name lookup by barcode. Pay once and you are done.

Wellquill records and shows what you enter. It does not give medical advice.
Private medication reminders, dose tracking and health logs.

What’s new

- Fixed: reminders keep arriving, even if you don't open the app for days.
- Fixed: recording a refill or undoing a dose now clears the "running low" notification.
- Fixed: back no longer closes Wellquill after saving a form.
- Fixed: a damaged backup now says what's wrong, and a failed export tells you.
- Fixed: on 12-hour phones, typing an afternoon time works.
- Every dose on Today shows its status in the same place.
- Tap a form chart bar for its exact date.
