About this app

Most study apps hand you an answer and forget you existed.

Studly is a photo math solver and maths homework helper that watches how you solve, remembers what you struggle with, and tells you what to study next. Scan a question, get step-by-step help, then check the working you wrote yourself.

SCAN A PROBLEM, OR TYPE IT

Photograph a maths problem or type it in. Before Studly answers, it shows you what it read - so you can catch a misread digit before it becomes a wrong answer. It reads a bare equation or a worded problem, so you can point it at the textbook page as it is.

Then you choose how much help you actually want:

- Hint - a nudge, when you're nearly there
- Guide me - worked through with you, step by step
- Solve - the full solution, with no lecture about asking for it
- Teach me - the concept first, then the problem

Choosing the full solution is never treated as cheating. How much help you take changes what Studly learns about you, not how it speaks to you.

WHAT IT COVERS

- Arithmetic, fractions, ratios and proportions
- Percentages, exponents and roots
- Algebraic expressions, factoring, polynomials
- Linear equations, inequalities, systems of equations
- Quadratic equations
- Functions, function notation, linear and quadratic functions

This is the algebra that carries most of school mathematics: GCSE revision, SAT and ACT math practice, and first-year college algebra.

ANSWERS THAT ARE CHECKED

Where the mathematics can be checked, Studly checks it - recomputing the answer with a symbolic maths engine, not asking the same AI a second time. When something cannot be verified, it says so rather than sounding confident anyway.

CHECK YOUR OWN WORKING

Photograph the steps you wrote yourself and Studly reads them, checks each one, and tells you which step went wrong - not just that the final answer was. Most maths solvers check their own answer. This one checks yours, and knowing where you lost it is the part that changes the next attempt.

PROGRESS THAT MEANS SOMETHING

Studly builds a picture of what you know from what you actually do. Topics move between "needs work", "developing" and "strong" based on evidence, and when there isn't enough evidence yet, it says "not enough yet" instead of inventing a score to show you.

HOMEWORK, REVISION AND EXAM PRACTICE

Stuck on tonight's maths homework, start with a hint and climb only as far as you need. Revising for an exam next month, work through whatever Studly has marked "needs work", or open the concept explorer and read the idea before the problem.

PRIVACY

Studly is for learners aged 13 and over. Photographs of your work are deleted automatically after 90 days. Your written feedback and your schoolwork are never sent to analytics companies, and problems sent for solving carry no name or email.

STUDLY PLUS

Free includes 5 AI Assists a day. Plus raises that to 20, and routes your answers to the stronger model.

- Monthly, or annual at a saving
- Cancel any time in your Google Play subscriptions

WHAT STUDLY IS NOT

It isn't an answer engine with a subscription attached. It won't pretend a correct answer means you understood something. It won't show you a progress number it hasn't earned the right to show you.

Know what to study next.

SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS

Studly Plus is an auto-renewing subscription, available monthly or annually. Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Google Play subscriptions after purchase.
