The lights hum. The carpet is damp. There is no way back up.
CATABASIS is a first-person survival-horror descent through nine procedurally generated floors of liminal office space and an ending nine levels down that most players will not reach on the first run. No weapons. No combat. One flashlight, and a sanity meter you should be watching.
THREE THINGS ARE DOWN HERE WITH YOU
One hunts the moment it sees you.
One moves only when you look away.
The third you will never see at all.
RUMMAGE. LISTEN. DESCEND.
Search furniture for almond water. Read four connected stories and inspect six pieces of evidence left at abandoned stations, stashes, beds, and barricades. A persistent Archive remembers what you find. Wrong doors send you somewhere unmapped. Six anomaly rooms interrupt the ordinary floors, from impossible archives to All Lights On. Optional stairways lead into compact bonus spaces and return you to the floor you left behind.
DEATH COSTS YOU SOMETHING - NOT EVERYTHING
Every floor gives you a repeatable password and a verified autosave. When it finds you, try the same floor again with one tap, or go back to the menu one floor higher than you were. Passwords are copied to your clipboard so a run is never more than a paste away.
IT TEACHES AS YOU GO
A two-page survival card on first run shows you the tear you are looking for. After that, a single line the first time your sanity falls, the first time you run, the first time you face furniture, and the first floor that has company. Once per save, then never again. Level 0 is a fair tutorial; Level 9 is not.
CONTROLS BUILT FOR A PHONE
A floating stick appears under your left thumb, swipe anywhere on the right to turn, one button to interact. Held upright, the mini-map, sanity bar and every message sit above the picture, large, where your thumbs never are. Bluetooth controllers fully supported. A call or notification drops you into the pause menu, not the corridor. Rumble optional.
BUILT BY HAND
A software renderer written from scratch in C. 240x160, 256 colours, no 3D hardware and no engine underneath it. It runs on almost anything, starts in a second, and never talks to the internet.
No ads. No tracking. No internet permission. No in-app purchases. Buy it once, own it.
SuDDeN Interactive
No weapons. One flashlight. Nine floors down, something is already awake.
