The lights hum. The carpet is damp. There is no way back up.
This is the free demo of CATABASIS: the three opening levels of a procedurally generated survival-horror descent, complete and unlocked, with no timer and nothing to buy inside it.
WHAT IS IN THE DEMO
Levels 0 through 2 in full. Searchable furniture, connected notes, the Archive, sanity, passwords, wrong doors, first-run hints that teach as you go, and at least one thing that will find you. Level 2 always has an anomaly room, a stairway, and something that has never been seen moving. Finish the demo and it gives you a code that opens Level 3 in the full game. Play it as long as you like.
THREE THINGS ARE DOWN HERE WITH YOU
One hunts the moment it sees you.
One moves only when you look away.
The third you will never see at all.
The demo introduces you to one of them.
WHAT IS IN THE FULL GAME
Nine procedurally generated floors, a real ending, and an endless descent after that. Six anomaly rooms, three optional stairway bonus spaces, deeper horrors, four complete note stories, and six pieces of persistent evidence to find.
CONTROLS BUILT FOR A PHONE
A floating stick appears under your left thumb, swipe anywhere on the right to turn, one button to interact. Held upright, the mini-map and every message sit above the picture, where your thumbs never are. Bluetooth controllers fully supported. Die, and try the same floor again with one tap.
BUILT BY HAND
A software renderer written from scratch in C. 240x160, 256 colours, no 3D hardware and no engine underneath it.
No ads. No tracking. No internet permission. Nothing to buy inside the demo.
SuDDeN Interactive
The first two floors, free. No weapons, one flashlight, and something else.
