Somebody has mislaid half the town.
Mislaid is a hand-drawn hidden object game set in a Pakistani old bazaar. The tailor has lost his scissors. The chai wala cannot find his kettle. A boy on the platform is down to one chappal, and at the wedding hall nobody can find the groom's shoe. Everything in town is drawn by hand, and everything in town answers when you tap it.
Six places to search, and every one of them is somewhere else entirely:
★ Food Street — tandoors, fruit carts, and a street that smells of frying
★ Bazaar Lanes — a narrow shaded lane of tailors, barbers and hardware shops
★ Rooftops & Kite Park — the same block from above, with the whole neighbourhood flying kites
★ The Station — an open-roof tourist train that pulls in, waits, and leaves again
★ The Shaadi Hall — a wedding: by day it is being set up, by night it is in full swing
★ The Truck Adda — a yard of hand-painted trucks, all chrome and jewel colour (a bonus place: earn it with stars, or open it with a one-time purchase)
More places are on the way. A new one turns up every few weeks, and your save is waiting for it.
DAY AND NIGHT ARE DIFFERENT HUNTS
Finish a place in daylight and the lamps come on. Night is not the same picture made darker: there are things that only come out once it is dark — a moth at a lamp, an owl on a parapet, diyas on the steps — and at the wedding hall the whole evening changes.
NOTHING IS HIDDEN UNFAIRLY
Every single hiding place is checked by the game before you ever see it. Nothing is buried where you could not reasonably find it, and nothing is the same colour as the thing it is sitting on.
★ Tap anything at all — the whole town reacts, and some things only turn up once you have poked the right thing
★ No timers, no lives, no energy. Stop in the middle of a hunt and it will be there tomorrow
★ Look again and it is a different hunt: everything is re-hidden, and hidden harder
★ A new four-thing hunt every day, with a streak to keep
★ A shelf of Golden Masosas and a book of thirty-nine townsfolk to fill
★ Soft music that never repeats, written for each place
★ Works offline with no wifi. No account, no sign-up
★ Play on phone, tablet, Chromebook or PC
Made for all ages: no chat, no social features, nothing to read but names.
ABOUT THE ADS, PLAINLY
Nothing ever interrupts a hunt. There is a short ad on the card between one list and the next — not in the first quarter of an hour, at most one every two lists, and never on the daily hunt. You can also choose to watch one for a spare hint, and that one is always optional. Every list gives you three hints and will take at most two more, for everybody — hints are a safety net, not a way round the game. The Finder's Pass is a one-time purchase that removes every ad and covers those two spare hints without one. It buys no advantage: the ceiling is the same either way.
Stars come from finishing lists, and more from going back through a place you have already done. They open the Truck Adda. Anything you can buy here, you can also reach by playing.
A hand-drawn town full of lost things. Find them all, offline, at your own pace.
