Every step counts – the more you move, the more you discover. Hemppo combines endurance exercise, exploration, and acts of kindness into one experience.
Key features:
• Track your daily activity and step count
• Turn movement into in-game progress
• Set goals and track your own development
• Compete with others in steps and achievements
• Progress and unlock content by moving
Move and explore exercise locations
Hemppo makes movement goal-oriented and rewarding:
• Daily step goal
Follow the daily target of 10,000 steps and repeat it every day.
• Exercise location map
On the map, you can see nearby sports facilities and outdoor routes. By tapping a location, you get more information about the place and what it offers.
• Location-based rewards with GPS
By visiting exercise locations, you receive GPS-based rewards and the chance to find rarer birds. You can also track bird sightings in nature, as efforts are made to bring these sightings into the game.
• Plus feature
When the Plus feature is enabled, movement becomes even more rewarding, and you have better chances of finding rare birds (additional feature).
Collect birds and learn more about them
Movement brings the joy of discovery and knowledge about nature:
• Unlockable eggs
Based on your steps, you earn eggs that hatch into birds. Some of these birds are true rarities in Finland.
• Bird collection
How many birds can you find? Not all birds can be found in southern Finland, so discovering some requires traveling to other parts of the country.
• Bird species pages
Learn more about birds—by discovering them, you gain new information, and the more birds of the same species you find, the more you learn.
Spread positivity to others as well
Hemppo also encourages doing good:
• Weekly good deed
Each week, you receive a small good deed task (e.g., say something positive to a coworker). Once completed, you can claim your reward.
• Weekly competitions
Participate in weekly competitions where players compete for the oldest bird of a certain species. You can compete with everyone or within your own friend or work groups.
• Share the word with others
The birds found at exercise locations are the same for everyone, so share information about the birds you’ve discovered with others—giving them a chance to add a new bird to their collection.
