About this game

Practice a variety of well organized endgames. From the most elementary to the most complex, you can practice until you master all the engame types.
The application organizes the positions in basics (queen, a rook, two rooks), pawns, bishops, knights, rooks and queen. For each type it provides multiple positions to practice.
Do you resist the endings with two bishops, or pawns ...? Now you can practice those endings that are more difficult to master them all forever.
It includes 3384 positions organized into 8 categories and 129 subcategories, so you can easily find the type of endgame you want to practice.

Play against the syzygy tablebases or against the stockfish engine - when there are more than 7 pieces.

The application records your personal record in each position. It also allows you to solve each position automatically and review the movements once completed.

It includes challenges of mate and also of draw, for both white and black.

Save configurations and progress to avoid losing them (to Google Drive).

When reaching a trivial position, it doesn't force you to solve it manually (it prompts you to resolve those last moves automatically without penalizing you for it).

Updated to Stockfish 16 NNUE.

Parameterize Stockfish by depth and time.

Better use of Syzygy/Stockfish.

List of moves: allows you to select a move and continue another line from there.

Manual mode: to move opponent's pieces to explore lines not suggested by syzygy or Stockfish: "what if...?"

Uses the chessground board which allows you to draw circles and arrows.

***My second review*** initially i gave one star because board not showing up. Now after software update the board is showing up. Now some ideas that would be nice to add to the app is endgame puzzles from actual games. I like the practice that you have with all pieces but it would be nice if you make a mistake the app telling you why the mistake. For example R + K vs K if the person dont know the technique to mate this app is useless to them. Thanks.

Glad you can use the app. When you make a move that takes you to a position that prevents you from reaching the goal, the application indicates it as such. It is true that it does not include explanations in plain text or an explanatory guide to deal with each type of end of game, so it invites the user to explore the solution by trial and error.

Best endgame app I've seen. A couple suggestions: 1. Allow players to restart even if they mated, lost, or stalemated. Currently only allows seeing the moves. Have to leave and come back to restart. 2. Allow the user to see the number of moves for a perfect game the whole time. Ideally through a toggle. As it is now, you can only see the number of moves for a perfect game by making a perfect first move and then you only see the number for a perfect continuation. Hard to keep track of if wrong.

This app is one of the most comprehensive chess apps I have ever downloaded. The engine is good. It has a quick mode to break down the methodology for obtaining checkmate, useful for new beginners. App loads quick, has a hint mode, reacts quickly. Haven't had any stability issues on an older droid (6.0 I believe). There are tons of topics such as single pawn, bishop, room, queen, mixed pieces etc endings. This could benefit players of ALL skill levels. USCF# 12909612. That's my .02c Thanks
