The Swapfiets concept is a good one. Yet, with only one shop in Brussels, you often have to wait a week before securing an appointment, leaving you without a bike and no compensation for not being able to use it. But what really did it for me was that I had to pay 720 euros in insurance franchise after my bike was stolen. It was locked and I returned the key. The price is prohibitive. Insurances would never charge that much, especially for a second hand bike in this condition. Feeling ripped off

I've been paying for the same bike for like a year and a half, they send me a 'spring checkout' to inflate the wheels and check the bike in general. it has been worn out throut the daily use, and I already thought it needed a check, so I went, in the middle of my exams, only for them to do absolutely nothing. on the app said that could take several minutes; It took them no time, they just unscrew and rescrew the back wheel (I was watching and they did nothing to it) and told me it was 'fixed'.

I signed up for the deluxe 7 being lied that there is one month free included (the actual free month is not per say a month, but it's a false reduction from 23 euros to 19.99 which they claim is the "free month". After signing the contract for 6 months, there is no way to revoke it and get your money back for not using the service. For example I had to go back to Romania for a month, I didn't use the service and returned the bike. Regardless, I was still charged for the following two months.

What's new

This release we’ve improved the functionality to book an appointment if you lost your bike. If you lost your bike you can report it in the app, enter the information we need, book an appointment to get a new bike and receive an email with info about the applicable surcharge. Next to that we have updated the way you can change the address where you want to meet during your appointment and we did some bug fixes.
