-Pacing tables for long-distance running
The scoring table assigns a training performance score based on a runner’s timed efforts. For example, if an athlete runs 400m in 50 seconds, their score provides a benchmark to compare performance across different distances. This helps maintain consistent and objective workout planning.
These scoring tools help coaches understand each runner’s relative training level. After assigning training scores based on recent results, the accompanying tables can be used to generate workout paces tailored to each athlete’s ability.
